Nedra Bashira

Nedra is the president and founder of the WNYBDA, she teaches in gyms and studios across WNY, and travels the world to perform and study Middle Eastern Dance. She has appeared in many Bellydance DVD’s, local and national TV shows including CNN’s Fit Nation. She is in the process of producing a local cable television fitness program and instructional DVD series!

AMINAH 

Nedra's daughter Aminah has been an assistant & primary dancer for Nedra & the WNY Bellydance Association for the past 8 years!

Internship & community volunteer opportunities are available.  The WNYBDA Provides community programs helping :

Victims of domestic violence (Haven house, Hispanics United, FJC, Child & Family services)

 families dealing with HIV/Aids (WIGL)

Assorted  youth programs

cancer patients & their families at Gilda’s club.

The Parenting connection & their festival every fall in Hamburg
